Pan-Seared Scallops with Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

  • Ingredients:
    • 8 large sea scallops
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and pepper
    • 3 tbsp butter
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Directions:
    1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
    2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
    3. Remove scallops from the pan and set aside. Add butter to the pan and cook until melted and slightly browned.
    4. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add lemon juice and parsley, stirring to combine.
    5. Serve the scallops with the lemon garlic butter sauce on top.
